Full-color funnies, working on my retro/dime store comic style project

For the past few months, I've been working on creating a comic book series for Amazon. It is a huge departure from my usual webcomic diary. This comic is in color and is totally fictional.

The book I'm putting together is called "Bobert and the Monster" and it is a throwback to those retro "funny books" they used to sell next to the counter at drug stores in the 60s through the 80s.

The comic is going to consist of short goofy stories that involve a cast of characters just like those old four-color comics.

The main characters are of course Bobert and the Monster. Bobert, a regular human, loves to pester his monstrous neighbor (who, by the way, thinks "Monster" is just a normal name).

So I've been working on drawing the comic and getting it ready as a bi-monthly series for Amazon comics.

A quick peek behind-the-scenes of a new webcomic series. Coming soon!

I've recently paused my usual diary comic to dedicate my attention to an exciting new project—a fiction webcomic series featuring two characters that may be familiar to my long-time followers.  These characters, Bobert and the Monster have made appearances on my website before , and now they're taking center stage.  I'm working diligently with the hope of launching the series shortly.  In the meantime, I'd like to share this behind-the-scenes video of the drawing process for one of the upcoming pages.  Stay tuned for more updates as I bring this creative vision to life.
